Dairy Love and A Giveaway

Dairy is by far my favorite food group.  In my personal dietary pyramid, dairy is the big section on the bottom.  There’s simply nothing better than a cold glass of milk.  Cheese? More, please.  I’m admittedly an ice cream addict.  And when it comes to yogurt, I could eat cupfuls a day.

I like all varieties of yogurt, but I am a big fan of the Greek yogurt from Chobani.  I’ve been eating and gushing about Chobani for a while now.  And now the company is undergoing something of a face-lift with more flavors and a shiny new website.

Chobani is all-natural and all-tasty.  My mother, who used to make her own Greek yogurt, tried Chobani and thought the label was a misprint because it’s low-fat, but it tastes so creamy.

Lucky for me, Chobani sent me a case of yogurt to love eat. And lucky for you, they want to send you one, too! To enter, check out the recipes on the website and leave a comment here telling me which one you’d like to try (how about a CHOttata?). Or follow me on Twitter and tweet about the giveaway! Contest ends Saturday morning at 9am and I will randomly pick a winner and announce it on Saturday’s post!

oh dairy, how i love thee, let me count the ways…then excuse myself because you’ve given me terrible indigestion.

btw i discovered last weekend that cabot racer’s edge cheddar is LACTOSE-FREE! can i get an ‘amen’? i’ve been taking a cue out of the page book and enjoyng it with apples. mmmm.

i would enter your yogurt contest, but then i know you would just pick me, and i want to be fair to those who can actually eat dairy comfortably ; ) (though this blueberry-lemon business sounds delightful and might be worth the risk.)

oh yes, and do tell: how have you been getting all these free things?? first sausage, now yogurt. i must know your secrets.

this concludes the longest comment ever.

I would love to try the salmon with chobani curry sauce! And I’m with you on loving the Chobani–I am not a fan of “regular” yogurt b/c of the texture but this yogurt is so creamy!

Pumpkin muffins sounds DELISH! And are probably apprx. 80 times healthier than recently purchased Dunkin Donuts pumpkin muffin. I love greek yogurt- and basically just putting lots of things in it (pumpkin, chocolate chips, honey- it’s all healthy when mixed in yogurty deliciousness). PS I bet you didnt know i creepily read your blog and only comment when you have free stuff.

  8. Mellissa says:

The lemon blueberry Chobani loaf looks awesome! Chobani is my favorite yogurt!

  9. Cris says:

I would have to try the “Holy Guacamole” first! I never thought to put yogurt into pumpkin muffins and carrot soup-also good recipes.
