Since I have been writing a lot about my apartment family as of late, I thought it would be fun to introduce them all. We’ll start with Jack in light of his triumphant return from the puppy hospital.
This is Jack.

Jack is a black Lab/Greyhound mix. He was born in August 2008 in the grand state of Ohio and made his way to the Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society so we could adopt him.

Jack likes…
-You. Doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, what you do for a living, if you have two legs or four, or if you’ve showered recently.
-Attention, preferably in the form of tummy rubs and tug-o-war.
-Annihilating his toys.
-Playing with other furry fellows at the dog park.
-Peanut butter, in the following forms: on a spoon, in a Kong, in his bowl, on your finger, and off the floor. And off your sandwich, if you were foolish enough to leave it within doggy reach.
-Racing up and down the hallway like a mad man.
-Standing between you and your destination point. Life’s more fun if you have to zigzag around a dog to get to the bathroom.

Jack dislikes…
-Baths. He believes they are a form of torture and does not understand why his parents, who are usually such nice people, find the need to perform such a painful ritual on their beloved pet.
-Water anywhere besides his bowl.
-Squirrels. They are an abomination and he will personally destroy every one of them.
-When the cat gets more attention then he does. At this point, it is necessary to head-butt said kitty out of the way and reclaim his place as Most Adored Pet.
-When his parents won’t share their dinner. If they just looked into his sweet brown eyes, surely they would find that, yes, in fact, we SHOULD give a piece of chicken to the dog.
-Barking, whining, howling, or making any noise at all. Despite the best efforts of his family to help him find his voice (what kind of dog is mute?), Jack only barks on the rarest occasion.

He is adorable!!
He is so cute, I love dogs and their personalities so much!
I had no idea Jack was part Greyhound…like DUKE!! They’re practically brothers. And also…I read in my Google Reader that you wrote a post about SID and now it’s not on here…what a tease!!!! You know my love for all things Sid run deep!!
Thats my boy, I laughed unbelievably hard at the annihilation of his toys and his vendetta against squirrels. Our dog is so damn cute!
Haha, sorry Wordpress decided to have a mind of it’s own. It will be up soon! The world will know Sid
