What a week! Coming down the holiday home stretch! I’m making my (to-do) list and checking it twice. Cleaning and spending money is naughty, but the warm Christmas feeling is so nice!
I’ve got a jam-packed weekend with an anniversary, a party, and lots o’ baking and shopping and writing. ‘Tis the season for full schedules. I hope your Friday is finding you looking forward to a few days of friends, festivities, and fleece blankets wrapped snugly around your shoulders!
Here’s your Lunch Break:
Food for Thought… Fooducate’s thoughts on the new nutrition labels. I’d say it’s about time for a label makeover.
Sitcom Meets High Art… The Top 10 TV Shows of the Decade as Minimalist Art. I quite enjoyed this. I’m sad not to see The Office or Arrested Development on here, but what a kooky concept!
Normally I’d say breakfast and math don’t mix… But in this case I’ll make an exception. If you think I’m not doing this to my bagel, you’re wrong.
We’ve Got the Power… In light of recent snow storms around the U.S., an article about preparing for a power outage. To summarize: “A reserve of toilet paper is worth a lot.” Well said, madam.
Winter Wonderland… My favorite childhood (and adulthood) book, in quiz form. How much do YOU know about Alice in Wonderland? I think I’m due for a re-read…
This Is What Happens When You Mix Christmas Margaritas and Holiday Lights… Bizarre Christmas decorations. Some clever, some gross, some funny, some weird… As they say, one man’s ridiculous decorating scheme is another man’s holiday tradition.
If all you really want for Christmas is an upbeat jam, enjoy:

That bagel stuff is hard, and the minimalist stuff was kind of awesome!
