Zesty Crusted Tofu

This makes a mildly flavored, slightly crunchy tofu.
Zesty Crusted Tofu
- 1/2 package firm tofu
- Juice from 1/2 orange
- 2 T Kikkoman Ponzu citrus soy sauce
- 1 T sesame oil
- Flax seeds
Wrap tofu in a clean dish towel. Place on a plate and put something heavy on top of the towel (a can, a bowl, etc.). Leave for 20 minutes. I got help from a can of beets.

Looks kinda like tofu art, huh?
Mix orange juice, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl.

Unwrap the tofu and slice to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into smaller triangles. Place in a large bowl and pour the soy sauce mixture over the tofu.

Marinate for 20 minutes. Place tofu on a large plate or cutting board and sprinkle with fingerfuls of flax seeds. Flip and sprinkle the other side.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Place tofu on a greased baking sheet (I used parchment paper and a pizza stone).

Bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking time, until the outside is slightly browned and crispy.

Serve right away or let cool before refrigerating.
